Last week the TW team stepped back onto the hallowed turf of The AEJC Hickstead for the All England Jumping Championships.
Starting as they meant to go on, Scott won the 5–year-old class on Thursday with Claudine Z. Meanwhile, he and Centalout PS were clear in the 5-year-olds, qualifying for the main ring and Oxford was clear and qualified for the 6-year-olds. Jay also had a great performance in the 5-year-olds, collecting a nice clear and qualifying for the main ring.
On Friday, Jess came out firing with a win in the 6-year-olds aboard Java and and 2nd place in the same class on Cassalato, Dynamite TW was also clear in this class. Scott jumped clear in the 1.20 with Sir Henry PS clear again in the 4-year-olds with Comet TW, while Jay was clear in the Newcomers with Centabouet.
Saturday took TW to the main ring, with Scott and Sir Henry PS nabbing 4th place in the 1.20. In the 1.00 Speed Derby, he and Narla TW were clear for 13th place, while in a competitive Newcomers Jess and Conlatage PS took 3rd.
Perhaps the feature event of the week took place on Sunday with TW’s youngest team member, 3 year old Poppy fighting out a competitive mini challenge to take 5th place! Surely a sign of big things to come. Well done, Poppy!
